The Legacy of St Padre Pio
St Padre Pio, the namesake of our school, was a much-loved Catholic priest known for his deep faith, humility and compassion for others. Born in Italy in 1887, Padre Pio dedicated his life to prayer, service and helping those in need.
He is remembered for his strong devotion to God and his commitment to supporting people who were suffering or in difficulty. Padre Pio encouraged others to trust in God’s love and to live with hope, kindness and generosity.
His well-known words, “Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry,” continue to inspire people around the world and reflect the spirit we aim to nurture within our school community.
At St Padre Pio Catholic Primary School, we look to the example of our patron saint as a guide for how we live and learn together. Through faith, compassion and care for others, we encourage our students to grow into thoughtful, confident and caring members of the community.
